When are football practices?

All teams will practice three nights a week (M-Th) at the Johns Creek High School football field and/or upper field.

What days/times/locations are football games?

All games will take place on Saturdays. Half of the games will be at “Home” at JCHS with half of the games “Away” at other local high schools.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams’ games will likely be at the same location each Saturday, and run 6th grade first (9am), followed by 7th(11am) and then 8th(1pm).

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade games will not always be at the same locations or times. The games will always be on Saturdays, but could be in the morning or afternoon. Schedule will be published in early-August.

What does my football player need to wear for the season?

Your athlete will receive a helmet, shoulder pads, and game day uniform to use for the season included in registration fees.  

Items needed to be purchased are: 

• practice pants (with integrated pads)

• protective cup

• practice jersey (coach’s preference will be communicated)

• football cleats (NO METAL SPIKES)

• mouthguard

What are the grade levels to play JR Glads football?

We hope to have teams from 3rd through 8th grade with 1st/2nd graders able to play up on the 3rd grade team.

What league do the football teams play in?

Our middle school level teams, which include grades 6th through 8th, compete in the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA). For our younger athletes, those in grades 3rd through 5th, compete in the Cobb Football League (CFL).
